As Tracks prepares for its last two stops on the Tracks Party Tour, we decided to catch up with Northern Beaches based band The Good Kids who will be supporting the Goons of Doom at our Sydney show which is being held on 17 May at the Harbord Hotel in Freshwater.
Birthed from a lack of musical experience, a gumtree drum kit and a council-clean up bass guitar the quartet of surfing Sydney friends have since gone onto play shows with well known bands like The Terry’s, South Summit and performed at Rolling Sets festival.
Tracks Party Tour in Newcastle
The first stop of the Tracks Party Tour was held last weekend at the Prince of Merewether in Newcastle and it absolutely went off.
Goons of Doom shelled the place down with their surf punk riffs causing chaos amongst the crowd and DJ Eddy sent us dancing through the night with his genre-bending act.

It was sometime around ten o’clock when things went to the next level. Ozi Wrong was leaning hard into the full throttle punk vocals and Tim ‘Killa Whale’ Cooney had stepped into the Newcastle throng for a one-kneed, guitar salute to the crowd.
