TRACKS PARTY TOUR RETURNS BIGGER THAN EVER FOR A 10-LEG NATIONAL RUN, OCTOBER 2026 TO MAY 2027
Australia’s most storied surf title is putting the party back on the map, pairing the nation’s best bands with its best waves for a tour built on nostalgic, rebellious surf culture and good times.

Tracks Magazine, the publication that has chronicled Australian surf culture since 1970, has today announced the return of the Tracks Party Tour for 2026/27, a 10-leg national run kicking off in October 2026 and wrapping up in May 2027.
Since its first issue rolled off the press in October 1970, Tracks has grown from a counterculture broadsheet produced on Sydney’s Northern Beaches into the most-published surf magazine in the world, with well over 600 issues to its name. Read by tens of thousands of surfers in print and online, and followed by hundreds of thousands more across social media, Tracks is regarded by surfers in Australia and overseas as one of the most authentic voices in the sport, a title that has always run closer to the culture than the industry.
It’s that pedigree that gave rise to the Tracks Party Tour, which first hit pubs and surf clubs around the country in the early 2000s, becoming a fixture on the calendar for a generation of surfers before disappearing for the best part of eight years. The tour made its comeback in 2024, picking up right where it left off with a run of shows that proved the appetite for a proper Tracks Party had never gone away. Five parties later, the concept had struck a nerve all over again. In 2025, the tour more than doubled in size to 10 stops, deliberately timed to land alongside major Australian surf events including the Rip Curl Pro at Bells Beach, Newcastle Surfest, the Noosa Festival of Surfing and the Snapper Pro on the Gold Coast. Several stops, including Burleigh and an Easter double-header, sold out within weeks. That momentum has now carried into a full national tour for 2026/27, with ten legs running from October through to May again following the surf calendar around the country and putting Tracks Parties in the same towns as the world’s best surfers when they’re in Australia to compete.
At its heart, the Tracks Party Tour is a celebration of the sub-cultures that have always sat alongside surfing, particularly music. It’s new school celebrating old school: a night that leans into nostalgia for the raw, rebellious energy Tracks has represented since the 1970s, while giving a stage to the bands and DJs carrying that same spirit forward today. The tour will once again touch down in some of Australia’s most iconic surf towns, hosted in the kind of venues that have anchored surf communities for generations, from beachside Surf Life Saving Clubs to the old pubs and bowls clubs that double as the lounge room for every local surfer.
Past Tracks Parties have featured some of the country’s most exciting live acts, including Rum Jungle, Pacific Avenue, Goons of Doom, Surf Trash, Letters To Lions and Beddy Rays, with several shows selling out weeks in advance. The 2026/27 tour will continue that tradition, with a fresh lineup of bands and DJs to be announced in the lead-up to the first show.
Tracks Parties are 18+ events built for a big night out: live music, DJs, and a genuine festival atmosphere inside some of the best pubs and surf clubs in the country. Every stop on the tour comes loaded with giveaways and prizes on the night, courtesy of the tour’s partners. Tickets for the first shows go on sale in late August 2026, with first release tickets priced from $35.
